Have a focal point. When designing a room, you would want to have a theme that will pull the individual pieces together without turning the space into an overcrowded theme park. To do this, it is important to create a focal point (such as a perfectly-situated window, a dramatic piece of furniture, or anything that strikes your fancy) and arrange the rest of your furniture around it. A good rule of thumb is to place the largest upholstered piece opposite your chosen focal point to create balance.
Here’s one of the basic tenets of good interior design the colour scheme can make a big difference. This is especially true in the case of smaller living spaces such as apartments and condominium units as the space can look bigger or smaller depending on the colors incorporated into the interior design. Apart from catering to the taste of the owner and making the space aesthetically pleasing, choosing the right colors can also affect the mood of the occupant.
