In choosing the colour scheme for your condo unit, you should take into consideration not only your personal preference but, at the same time, balance. You can balance particularly striking pieces by painting the walls a more neutral colour. Similarly, you can make your interior design more appealing by incorporating accent hues into your decoration to accentuate and complement light-coloured walls or ceilings. Color is at the heart of interior design. Given the foregoing, it is important to give serious thought to the color scheme to be employed as the same can make or break your interior design.
Every season there is a new trend that comes into the market. But, with the changing trend, the functionality of the design should not decrease. Thus, it is very important to get the best of new designs and products with the same functionality. Also, interior designing is getting disrupted with the extensive use of technology. So, with good design, a designer should also bring the tech-enabled functionalities which will make it easier and useful for the customers. When it comes to new designs and products, the knowledge of the material also plays a vital role. If the material is not of high quality, neither technical advancement nor the design will be sustainable. With new folks coming into the market armed with different technical advancement and experience, the competition is getting tough. So, the existing ones have to be very careful with the products, development and practical use of the experience of their knowledge. A small slip can turn out to be the downfall of the brand.
Everything doesn’t have to be perfectly symmetrical. If you are going for a homey and comfortable look, it is best to keep the furnishings a tad asymmetrical. To maintain balance in your interior design, stick with a particular theme or color combination. If you’re unsure as to placement, here’s a handy tip: tall items should be placed in the back and shorter ones should be placed in front. For large or heavy items, it is best to keep them at the bottom, with smaller ones on top of them for highlight.
In terms of colour schemes, the 60-30-10 rule of interior design prescribes that 60 percent of the total colour of the unit should be from the unit itself (i.e. the walls, ceiling, and floor), 30 percent should be from the pieces of furniture, and the remaining 10 percent should be from the accent pieces. This allows for a dynamic but balanced look. In applying the 60-30-10 rule, make sure that the colours you choose are complementary to create a cohesive interior design.
