Interior design is the art and science of making a space soothing to the eyes and making it aesthetically as well as holistically beautiful. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that includes conceptual development, space planning, site inspections, programming, research, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, construction management, and execution of the design.
The digital approach to designing has increased the productivity through a better coordination between the designers and the client. In today's fast-paced busy lifestyle digitalization is the ideal solution for finalizing the design details and eliminating errors, all while saving time. The idea of going digital for interior designing helps to minimise the conflict of ideas between the consumers and the designers.
Everything doesn’t have to be perfectly symmetrical. If you are going for a homey and comfortable look, it is best to keep the furnishings a tad asymmetrical. To maintain balance in your interior design, stick with a particular theme or color combination. If you’re unsure as to placement, here’s a handy tip: tall items should be placed in the back and shorter ones should be placed in front. For large or heavy items, it is best to keep them at the bottom, with smaller ones on top of them for highlight.
Draw your room on graph paper. Measure and mark electrical outlets and switches, vents, windows and doors. Measure your furniture and place it in your floor plan. Generally, the main furniture pieces are directed toward the focal point, keeping the major traffic patterns open. Fill in with pieces you'd like to have that may or may not be available now. Be sure to balance high and low pieces as well as heavy and light ones around the room.
